The Honourable Minister of Sports Development, John Enoh, has attributed Nigeria’s 2-0 victory over Cameroon in the Round of 16 at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) to the Super Eagles’ resilient, determined, and fighting spirit. In a statement signed by his Media Special Assistant, Diana-Mary Tiku Nsan, Enoh praised the exceptional performance of the team on Saturday night and emphasized the significance of the win for both the team and the nation.

In the match against Cameroon, Ademola Lookman scored both goals for Nigeria, with assists from Victor Osimhen and Calvin Bassey. The Super Eagles are set to face Angola in the quarter-finals on Friday, February 2.
