According to Cornel Osigwe, the Head of Corporate Communications at Innoson Group, the N3 million scholarship awarded to Mmesoma Ejikeme will remain valid if she is proven innocent of the allegation of result manipulation made by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB). The allegation suggests that Ejikeme used software to manipulate her UTME score to 362, whereas her original score was reported as 249.

Innoson Group’s management has expressed the importance of ensuring that the scholarship is awarded to a deserving candidate, and they have stated that if Ejikeme is cleared of the result manipulation allegation, the scholarship offer will stand.

It is worth noting that the matter is currently under investigation, and the final outcome will determine the validity of the scholarship.

Cornel Osigwe, the Head of Corporate Communications at Innoson Group, has expressed surprise at the allegation made by JAMB regarding Mmesoma Ejikeme’s result manipulation. According to Osigwe, Innoson conducted its own verification process and found that Ejikeme had indeed scored 362 in her UTME examination, which was the basis for awarding her the scholarship.

Osigwe further mentioned that there was no clarification or counter-claim from JAMB regarding Ejikeme’s score, even though it was widely reported in the media that she had achieved the highest score. In light of this, Innoson proceeded to award her the scholarship as the highest scorer based on the information available at that time.

Cornel Osigwe stated that Innoson Automobile Company is currently conducting an independent investigation to ascertain the truth behind the allegation of result manipulation made by JAMB against Mmesoma Ejikeme. He mentioned that if they discover that Ejikeme indeed manipulated her result, the scholarship will be withdrawn. However, if the investigation reveals that the mistake or discrepancy was from JAMB and her actual score was 249, the scholarship will still be awarded.

Osigwe assured Ejikeme not to panic during this period of investigation and emphasized that Innoson has the capability to conduct a thorough investigation to uncover the truth. He also emphasized that if Ejikeme is found innocent of the allegation, regardless of whether she scored the highest or not, the scholarship will remain valid.
