In a tragic incident, bandits attacked Uguwan Dankali in Zaria Local Government Area of Kaduna State, resulting in the death of four individuals and injuries to four others. The police spokesperson in Kaduna State, ASP Mansir Hassan, confirmed the incident and stated that the attack occurred on Friday.
Upon receiving a distress call, a joint response team comprising the police, military, and civilian Joint Task Force immediately pursued the bandits. In the ensuing gunfight, the bandits abandoned five victims they had kidnapped. These victims were swiftly rescued and transported to the hospital along with the injured individuals for medical treatment.
During the operation, the police arrested a bandit suspected to be one of those involved in the attack. This suspect was found in possession of several military woodland camouflage wears. Investigation into the incident has commenced, with intensified efforts underway to apprehend the remaining fleeing bandits.
The Commissioner of Police in Kaduna State, Musa Garba, expressed condolences to the families of the victims who lost their lives in the attack.
