Benue Investment and Property Company Limited (BIPC) Confirms EFCC Recovery of N7.8 Million

The Management of Benue Investment and Property Company Limited (BIPC) has announced that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has successfully recovered N7.8 million belonging to the company. Dr. Raymond Asemakaha, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (MD/CEO) of BIPC, revealed this development on Tuesday in Makurdi.

According to Mr. Asemakaha, the funds were retrieved from former officers of the company who were involved in corrupt practices. He noted that the draft cheque for the recovered amount has been handed over to the company, with further expectations of additional recoveries.

Mr. Asemakaha emphasized that this recovery marks a positive stride in bolstering the integrity of the company and fostering a culture of accountability, particularly under the leadership of Governor Hyacinth Alia.

He commended the EFCC for its prompt action, highlighting the agency’s dedication, professionalism, and commitment to justice and the fight against financial crimes.

“This successful recovery underscores the importance of robust investigative procedures and the commitment to upholding integrity in financial transactions,” Mr. Asemakaha stated.
