Governor Mohammed Umaru-Bago of Niger State has expressed strong condemnation regarding the robbery attack on the cashier of the Emir of Minna, Ibrahim Sani, which occurred at the palace.
In a statement released in Minna on Wednesday by his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, Governor Bago described the incident as unfortunate and a flagrant display of disrespect towards the traditional institution.
Governor Bago emphasized that his administration will not stand idly by while criminals continue to cause harm and distress to innocent individuals.
He expressed deep concern over the unfortunate occurrence, particularly taking place within the state capital and even within the premises of the Emir’s Palace.
Governor Bago made it clear that his administration will not tolerate such acts, urging the security agencies to take all necessary measures to apprehend the individuals involved in the criminal act.
He urged the security agencies to thoroughly investigate the incident and bring the perpetrators to justice through legal means.
Governor Bago extended his sympathies to the Emir of Minna, Umar Farouk-Bahago, regarding the robbery attack. He also offered prayers for the swift recovery of those who were injured in the incident.
