Protests, Monday, rocked the Federal University of Technology, Akure, FUTA as students disagree with the schools’ management over the recent increment of tuition fees.
The management of FUTA had recently disclosed its decision to increase the cost of charges payable by students of the institution.
In a latest development Monday, students in a peaceful demonstration, took to the streets to express their displeasure with the management of the school stating that the fees had been increased by over 300 per cent.
The protesters gathered in front of the school’s main gate, chanting various solidarity songs, preventing human and vehicular movement from entering the campus while insisting that management must return to the status quo ante.
