On Tuesday, the Naira exhibited strength at the official market, with a trading rate of N1,278.58 to a dollar. Data sourced from the official trading platform of the FMDQ indicated a significant gain for the Naira, marking an increase of N30.81 or 2.35 percent compared to the previous trading session on Thursday, March 28, 2024, just before the Easter holiday, when it traded at N1,309.39 against the dollar.
However, the total turnover at the official market decreased to $111.18 million on Tuesday, significantly lower than the $857.78 million recorded on Thursday, March 28, 2024.
Meanwhile, at the Investor’s and Exporters’ (I&E) window, the Naira’s trading range against the dollar was between N1,312.00 and N1,250.00.
